How it works
- Free. No fees, no subscription, nothing taken out of what you earn. A plan is optional and never changes the work or the pay.
- See cleans near you with the day, the hours and the pay before you ask.
- Ask at the posted price or propose your own rate, and say when in the host's hours you'd arrive.
- You choose which cleans to take, and you can work for anyone else.
- The app walks you through the photos and the checklist the host wants, and sends it all as one report.
- Before you start, the app shows "Payment secured": a hold for your pay is on the host's card.
- Bring a helper or a team, and you decide how the pay is shared.
- Hosts who star you offer you their next clean first.
How and when your pay arrives
Before you start, a hold for your pay is on the host's card. When your report is in, the card is charged into your own Stripe account: when the host releases it, or on its own 48 hours later.
Only Stripe's card fee comes out, as for any business that takes cards: about 2.9% plus 30¢, so $100 arrives as about $96.80. The clean's page shows the estimate before you ask and the exact fee once the host has been charged.
Stripe sends it on to your bank; a first payment can take a few days, the next ones usually arrive in two business days. You set up getting paid once, in the app, in Profile under Payments.
Where and how to join
Cleaners can join from anywhere in California today. More states will follow.
Get ResiSet for iPhone or Android, say where you work and how far you travel, set up getting paid, and the board shows the cleans near you.
You work for yourself. ResiSet is not an employer and does not guarantee work: cleans depend on hosts posting them, and there are more in some neighborhoods than others.
“ID verified”
The badge means you showed Stripe an ID document and took a selfie, Stripe found the document real and the face a match, and the name on the ID is the name on your account. That is all it means: it is not a background check. It's optional, done in Profile under Payments, and ResiSet pays for it.
Plans for cleaners
Free has everything you need to find work, report and get paid, and every word of your reviews. Plus adds your public page and your @handle, with its referral link and QR code; Pro adds Featured placement, the connector for Claude and ChatGPT to manage and search for cleanings, and business tools.
Questions cleaners ask
- What if the host doesn't pay?
- A hold for your pay went on the host's card before the clean. The card is charged into your own Stripe account when the host releases it, or on its own 48 hours after your report.
- Does ResiSet take a cut?
- No. You're paid the whole price. Only Stripe's card fee comes out, as for any business that takes cards.
- Can I bring a helper?
- Yes. The host pays you and you pay them what you agreed; the app notes the split and reminds you.
- The place is in bad shape when I arrive. What do I do?
- Photograph what you found before you start; the arrival photos go into the report with your notes and protect you. If the clean is not what was posted, message the host from it. If you don't feel safe, leave.
Good to know
ResiSet does not run background checks. Ratings come from the hosts and cleaners on each clean.
ResiSet is not a cleaning company and not an employer. Hosts and cleaners deal with each other directly.
