Texts from ResiSet
Draft. Pending legal review.
Who gets them
Only people who turn texts on in the ResiSet app. Nobody is texted for signing up, for being booked, or because someone else gave their number. Texts are never needed to use ResiSet: the app asks the same question.
- Cleaners get one text about a day before each clean they're booked for, asking whether it's still on, and at most one reminder if they don't answer.
- Hosts get a text when the cleaner they booked can't make a clean, or hasn't answered the day before.
How people turn them on
In the app, in Profile › Texts:
1. They type their US mobile number and tap Text me a code. 2. They type the code from that text. 3. They tick the box, which starts unticked, under these words, with the Terms and the Privacy Policy a tap away:
- For cleaners: "Text me the day before each clean I'm booked for, to confirm I'm coming. Msg frequency varies, usually 1 or 2 per clean. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
- For hosts: "Text me when a cleaner I booked can't make a clean or hasn't confirmed it. Msg frequency varies, usually 1 or 2 per clean. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out." 4. They tap Turn texts on. ResiSet keeps when they agreed and which words they agreed to, and sends one text: "ResiSet: We'll text you the day before each clean you're booked for, to confirm. Msg freq varies. Msg & data rates may apply. HELP for help, STOP to opt out"
The Texts screen as a cleaner sees it, before turning texts on. The box starts unticked.

What the texts say
- "ResiSet: Still on for your clean at The Archer on Thu 10/8, 11am-3pm? Reply YES to confirm or NO if you can't make it. STOP to opt out"
- "ResiSet: Please confirm your clean at The Archer on Thu 10/8, 11am-3pm. Reply YES, or NO if you can't make it."
- "ResiSet: Thanks, you're confirmed for The Archer on Thu 10/8."
- "ResiSet: Cleo T. can't make the clean at The Archer on Thu 10/8. It's back on the board."
A text never carries an address, the way in, a door code, a guest's name or money.
How often, and what it costs
Message frequency varies: usually one or two texts per clean, more if you reply with a question. Message and data rates may apply. No texts are sent between 9 pm and 8 am Pacific time, except answers to a text you sent.
